Chris has an extensive experience and a proven track record in marketing and digital leadership across B2C and B2B segments.
He started his career in brand marketing working for Dalgety Spillers Pet Foods, Heinz (New Zealand), Grand Metropolitan Brewing, Courage and then the AA where he was General Manager of Membership and Marketing presiding over the six year development from inception of the 4th Emergency Service campaign, widely acclaimed as the most successful in its history.
Chris switched his focus in the late 1990s to become one of the early pioneers for digital. He was involved in the early days scaling of Amazon.co.uk as their first UK Marketing Director and was Founder and Managing Director of Zenith Interactive Solutions (now ZED), the digital media business of Zenith Media, supporting major clients such as Lloyds TSB, Halifax, BMW, Toyota, BT and Superdrug and building it over three years into one of the UK’s leading digital communications agencies.
Since 2008 as Director of Beechgate Consulting, he has helped accelerate digital enablement for organizations such as EDF Energy, Vitality Health, the BBC, Bupa, HSBC Commercial Banking, Aviva and Initiative Media, blending high level vision and strategy creation with hands-on operational planning and management. A Fellow of the IDM since 1997 Chris has supported CEO’s, C-Suite and other senior stakeholders and led teams to innovate, plan, execute and integrate digital into their marketing and business models, delivering new customer experiences and commercial results across channels and devices.
