Leeds is now the UK’s third largest media centre after London and Glasgow, with more than 13,600 people employed in the city’s media industry. Since 1998, the number of people working in the media sector has risen by 20% - a growth that looks set to continue.

Championing the city’s media community is Leeds Media. Working to promote the creative and media sector in Leeds and the Yorkshire region, its vision is to inspire and lead its member companies to be the best in the UK, and to help them connect to the very best clients and customers.

With over 240 member companies, Leeds Media works hard to ensure that the Yorkshire region is recognised as a centre of creative expertise. Its members represent a wide range of services in the media, marketing and ebusiness industry; from design, new media, marketing and PR to television, film, radio and press. It also has a growing number of members offering specialised services to the media industry including law, recruitment and business support.

Leeds Media members enjoy reduced rates for its regular events programme, which includes breakfast briefings with high profile speakers, evening seminars and regular networking events.
